Statement by the United Nations Spokesperson in Cyprus

Nicosia, 7 July 2022– The Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General (SRSG) and Deputy Special Adviser to the Secretary-General on Cyprus (DSASG) hosted a reception on 5 July for the co-chairs of the Technical Committees, also attended by the Greek Cypriot Negotiator, Menelaos Menelaou and Turkish Cypriot Special Representative, M. Ergün Olgun to offer support and encouragement.

In his address, SRSG/DSASG Stewart recognized the efforts of the co-chairs and members of the Technical Committees and stressed the important role they can play in building trust and improving the daily lives of Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots.
