The Greek Cypriot leader, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, and the Turkish Cypriot leader, Mr. Tufan Erhürman, met today under the auspices of the United Nations. Following the meeting, the leaders issued a joint statement outlining the main points of their discussion and the areas on which they agreed to continue working. The leaders agreed to intensify their meetings and to meet once a week and more frequently, as circumstances may require.
