GENEVA, 9 January 2017 - The Greek Cypriot leader, Mr. Nicos Anastasiades, and the Turkish Cypriot leader, Mr. Mustafa Akıncı, resumed the Cyprus Talks at the Palais des Nations in Geneva on 9 January 2017. The leaders were welcomed by Mr. Michael Møller, the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva, and the Special Adviser of the Secretary-General on Cyprus, Mr. Espen Barth Eide. The talks are expected to last until 11 January 2017. From 12 January, a Conference on Cyprus will be convened with the added participation of the guarantor powers and other relevant parties.
