26 Oct 2018 - NICOSIA, 26 October 2018 – Today the Turkish Cypriot leader, Mr. Mustafa Akıncı, and the Greek Cypriot leader, Mr. Nicos Anastasiades, met at the Chief of Mission residence in the United Nations Protected Area (UNPA) under the auspices of Special Representative/Deputy Special Adviser to the Secretary-General on Cyprus, Ms. Elizabeth Spehar. The leaders are pleased to announce that on 12 November 2018, crossing points at Lefka/Aplici and Deryneia/Derinya will be open.

While in New York, I also held detailed discussions with the Secretary-General, the top leadership of the United Nations, the guarantor powers and the broader diplomatic community.

09 Jun 2017 - In line with the statement issued following the meeting of the Secretary-General with the Turkish Cypriot leader, Mr. Mustafa Akıncı, and the Greek Cypriot leader, Mr. Nicos Anastasiades, in New York on 4 June, and following consultations with all participants, the Conference on Cyprus will reconvene in Geneva on 28 June 2017. The Conference on Cyprus will reconvene at the political level under the auspices of the Secretary-General, with the participation of Mr. Anastasiades and Mr.
31 May 2017 - NEW YORK, 31 May 2017 - The Secretary-General today invited Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci and Greek Cypriot leader Nicos Anastasiades to New York for a joint meeting to discuss the Cyprus talks and the way forward. Both leaders have accepted his invitation.
The Secretary-General looks forward to welcoming the leaders, together with his Special Adviser on Cyprus, Espen Barth Eide, on the evening of Sunday, 4 June.
