The United Nations Good Offices Mission in Cyprus welcomed young Greek diplomats today for a briefing on the Mission’s activities and the current state of play on the island.
During the meeting, UN colleagues briefed participants on the mandate of the Mission in the Cyprus peace talks, the ongoing work of the 13 Technical Committees, and recent political developments.
The briefing also highlighted the importance of sustained contact between Cypriots across the island and the role of trust-building initiatives in bringing people together to address issues of shared concern.
