Technical Committee Photo Competition Invites Participants to Capture Cyprus’ Shared Cultural Heritage

TCCH

The Technical Committee on Cultural Heritage, in collaboration with the Technical Committee on Youth, has launched a photo competition inviting participants to capture the island's shared cultural heritage through their own lens.

The competition encourages photographers, heritage enthusiasts and members of the public to select a monument from the completed projects listed on the Cyprus Digital Heritage website www.cyprusdigitalheritage.com and submit high-quality photographs of the site. The initiative aims to strengthen youth participation and highlight the role of the next generation in safeguarding the island’s shared heritage.

A total of ten photographs will be selected for a special exhibition in front of the Ledra Palace Hotel in Nicosia and later at the European Parliament in Brussels. Among the selected entries, the two highest-scoring photographers will be invited to accompany the Technical Committee on Cultural Heritage Co-Chairs to the exhibition event in Brussels.

Participants are invited to choose a completed cultural heritage project, visit the site, and submit their best photographs. The deadline for submissions is 25 August 2026.

The project is funded by the European Union and implemented with the support of the United Nations Development Programme, under the auspices of the UN Good Offices Mission in Cyprus.
