Rome and New York, 3 July 2012 – The Minister of Defense/Deputy Prime Minister of Somalia, Mr. Hussein Arab Isse, signed an Action Plan today committing to ending the recruitment and use of children by the Somali National Armed Forces.

Rome, 03 July, 2012 – The 22nd meeting of the International Contact Group (ICG) on Somalia under the chairmanship of the United Nations Secretary-General's Special Representative for Somalia, Dr Augustine Mahiga, together with the ICG Co-chairs, Norway and the USA, issued its final communiqué.

Rome, 02 July 2012 – SRSG Mahiga welcomed the convening of the 22nd meeting of the International Contact Group on Somalia and expressed his gratitude to Foreign Minister Terzi, the Government of Italy and colleagues from the Italian Foreign Ministry for hosting the meeting.
