The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The Secretary-General and the President discussed cooperation between the United Nations and Tajikistan, notably in the field of transboundary water management, sustainable development, and 2030 Agenda.

They also exchanged views on regional developments and the situation in Afghanistan.
