SRSG Ziadeh's statement on International Day of Countering Hate Speech

On International Day of Countering Hate Speech, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of UNMIK Caroline Ziadeh reiterates UNMIK’s commitment to countering this phenomenon. "I reiterate UNMIK's comittment to countering hate speech. While recognizing the fundamental importance of freedom of expression, let's stamp out hate speech and intolerance, and promote inclusion, tolerance and dignity" she said.

United Nations Mission in Kosovo

The United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) was established by the Security Council in its resolution 1244 (1999). In accordance with its mandate, the Mission helps to ensure conditions for a peaceful life for all inhabitants of Kosovo.
